On this Memorial Day, we honor and remember the courageous men and women who sacrificed in service to our country. Their selflessness and bravery will forever be etched in our hearts. Today, when a large-scale war does not end in Europe, people are killed, and entire cities are destroyed every day, it is essential to understand that Memorial Day goes beyond the boundaries of one nation and one state and becomes a worldwide day of remembrance, naming the sacrifice and dedication of all those who defend freedom and democracy. In the brutal Ukrainian-Russian war, not only Ukrainians defending their country died, but also American volunteers fighting against evil and tyranny.
